Specifications:

  • Brass Packing Nut, 1 1/2" Mpt
  • Groen Kettle D-40, 60, 80

Description

The Groen 012122 Packing Nut compresses packing substance around a valve stem or shaft to create a controlled seal at the opening. As the nut is tightened, it applies pressure to the packing, closing the space around the moving shaft while still allowing operation. The 2" specification identifies the designated size for the matching connection. It is fitted around the stem area of compatible systems or cooking equipment, securing the packing within its gland position. Its threaded design allows adjustment of compression against the sealing material, keeping the surrounding joint closed as the connected mechanism moves during operation.
