The Edlund A943 Can Opener Handle & Knob Assembly S-11 is a component that moves the manual force applied by the operator to the internal gear mechanism to turn the cutter when opening the can. The knob offers grip and control as the handle is turned and the drive components can be rotated. This is assembled to the outside of the can opener body at the drive shaft connection. It fits into the gearing system of the opener and is clamped to the shaft. The assembly is used to change the handle parts to ensure manual operation.
