Cornelius 638008483-06 Ice Maker Reed Switch Assembly

The Cornelius 638008483-06 Reed Switch Assembly senses magnetic field activity and changes the state of an electrical circuit when it moves within limits. The assembly has sealed reed contacts that open or close in response to a magnetic influence, enabling signal communication between connected elements during operation. It is used in compatible equipment that uses electrical sensing for system performance monitoring and that also controls certain processes. The compact assembly, which performs electrical switching actions as required by the equipment design and which works with connected magnetic components to support and maintain the intended sequence of operational responses during use.
