Description

The Doyon GAD210D Detection Electrode Gas Flame Rod works by using the concept of flame ionization to check the existence of a pilot or burner flame in the combustion cycle. When the furnace starts to burn the rod detects a small electrical current produced by the ions in the flame, which causes the ignition module to continue the flow of gas. This part is placed directly in the line of the flame and is usually attached to the assembly or pilot bracket.
