Description

The Anets P8905-38 Coaxial Thermopile operates by transforming heat produced by a pilot flame into a small electrical signal which triggers gas control components of heating equipment. It operates based on several thermocouple junctions arranged in a coaxial configuration which amplifies the amount of millivoltage generated when in contact with uniform flame. This thermopile is mounted close to the burner and pilot assembly, mounted in a location where it can be exposed to the flames directly but not be damaged by the flames in the internal heating chamber of the appliance.

Step1: Turn off gas and electrical supply and allow fryer or appliance to cool completely.

Step2: Remove access panel to reach pilot assembly and existing thermopile connection.

Step3: Disconnect old thermopile from gas valve terminals.

Step4: Install new coaxial thermopile and position tip securely in steady pilot flame.

Step5: Route lead safely away from heat and moving components, securing with clips.

Step6: Restore gas and power, then check pilot stability and proper millivolt output.

  • What maintenance is required for the Anets P8905-38 Thermopile?

Inspect the thermopile regularly for soot buildup, corrosion, or loose coaxial connections. Clean the sensing area to maintain proper millivolt output. Ensure it is correctly positioned in the pilot flame. Always turn off the gas supply before servicing to ensure better operation.

  • What are common issues with the Anets P8905-38 Thermopile?

    • Low or inconsistent millivolt output affecting gas valve operation.
    • Pilot flame not generating sufficient voltage.
    • Loose or damaged coaxial lead connections.
