Description

The Southbend 1163687 Gas Burner Valve regulates fuel entering the assembly and controls passage through the connected supply route. Turning the internal stem changes the valve opening, allowing the incoming stream to pass through the frame at the selected setting. The NAT/LP identifies natural gas and liquid propane fuel service, while 1/8-inch MPT applies to both threaded connections, with a 0.240-inch stem and 90-degree turning angle. Installed along the burner supply route, the valve alters fuel flow as the stem rotates between closed and open positions during heating operation.
